Jane Martine, our Founder, embodies a deep passion for education and personal growth, drawing from her extensive experience in high school administration, teaching, and nonprofit work. Born and raised in Colorado, Jane's life journey, including her role as a mother and educator, fuels her desire to create a nurturing community for women. The Gathering Nest, born from her heart's desire, aims to provide a space for women to explore their dreams, connect deeply, and find their true potential.
Jeanne Hendricks, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and Lead Mentor, brings her extensive background in nutrition, deeply influenced by her experiences as a Division I student-athlete and as a mother. Her philosophy emphasizes the holistic role of food in health, performance, and well-being, offering her 13 years of experience in nutrition counseling, education, and lifestyle practices to empower others towards a healthier and fulfilling life.
Colleen Paap, another Lead Mentor, combines her serene upbringing in Colorado with her professional journey in clinical psychology. Her master's degree and published research on Body Image Disturbance reflect her deep empathy and commitment to guiding others towards healing and self-discovery. As a passionate sports enthusiast, both as a player and coach, Colleen leverages her love for sports to teach life lessons and foster personal growth, particularly evident in her role as the coach of her son’s basketball team.

Registered Dietitian NutritionistJeanne Hendricks is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist whose journey into nutrition began as a Division I student-athlete, where she learned firsthand the transformative impact nutrition has in optimizing athletic performance and supporting holistic well-being. Jeanne's nutrition philosophy has been shaped by her experiences navigating the complexities of diet culture, and body image while working to foster a healthy relationship with food both for herself and as a mother of two young girls. From these insights, Jeanne has cultivated a fundamental belief that food is so much more than just food. For her, it embodies health, performance, relationships, family, culture, tradition, and pleasure—it is synonymous with LIFE. That is why she is committed to helping others forge a path toward their healthiest, highest-performing selves by embracing a positive and balanced relationship with food, supporting not only physical well-being and optimal performance but also a richer, more fulfilling life. Jeanne has dedicated the past 13 years as a practitioner to supporting thousands of clients through evidence-based nutrition counseling and education, realistic and sustainable behavior change techniques, and meaningful lifestyle practices. She is also a dynamic presenter, leading both small group classes and speaking on national stages in the areas of health, wellness, nutrition, and healthy cooking. Jeanne lives in Rhode Island with her husband, her two daughters, and their dog Buddy. When she is not working, you can find Jeanne being active with her family and friends, wandering around farm stands or specialty grocery stores, or reading cookbooks with a good cup of coffee at the local bookstore. FounderSo honored you are here. I cannot wait to be alongside you in your journey ahead. I crave deep connection, belonging, wholehearted living and the chance to fully be who I am in the company of really good women wanting to grow themselves. I feel so grateful to have an incredible husband who wants my dreams to unfold, my 5 beautiful babies to raise who are my joy and my light and a giant fur baby that is beyond loyal and helps me slow down and experience the little joys in life. I have so much joy to give and space to hold for the life you want to create. Born and raised in Colorado, I have dedicated over 15 years living out my passion for education at the administrative level at the high school, in the classroom as a high school teacher, in the yoga room teaching yoga and in the depths of educational nonprofit work at the international level. It is very evident that my heart belongs with helping people live their best life and I have a deep desire to be the kind of friend and mentor that will walk alongside others in every stage of life. I attribute my love of education to my extraordinary high school teachers, to my north stars of friends I have met along the way and to my husband who has encouraged me to dream. With a huge heart and a deep desire to find my community, the idea of the Gathering Nest was born. And my soul is now on fire. Women need space to find what makes them tick, to start unraveling their dreams, and to feel deeply connected to their heart and to the heart of such a strong community. The opportunity to gather and feel deeply connected is our life force as humans and I will do anything to make sure women have this space to call home.

Lead MentorColleen was born and raised in the serene landscapes of Colorado and her love for the outdoors and its natural beauty is evident to all who know her. She is surrounded by the most amazing and supportive husband as well as her two incredibly fun loving and free spirited children, who bring boundless joy to her every day. Not only has her family been her anchor but also her greatest source of inspiration throughout the years.
In her college years, Colleen's academic journey led her to obtaining a master's degree in clinical psychology and publishing an article on Body Image Disturbance and Relationship Satisfaction in which she hoped to help bring awareness to fellow college students with body image disturbances and eating disorders. Her deep-rooted empathy and insight have allowed her to touch the lives of countless individuals over the years, guiding them towards healing and self-discovery.
For Colleen, sports aren't just a hobby, they're a way of life. Her passion for sports transcends the field, court, or arena as she often uses sports as both a player and a coach to connect with others, teach invaluable life lessons, and empower individuals to be the best versions of themselves. Coaching her 8 year old son’s basketball team has become one the most rewarding experiences of her life as she has not only been able to witness each child’s growth and development on and off the court but this is also where she met and connected with Jane Martine the founder of the Gathering Nest. By being able to create a positive and nurturing environment for her players to thrive and discover their true potential, she believes this can directly translate to cultivating strong and unbreakable bonds with others that she serves. She hopes her mentorship can provide a safe space for self-exploration as well as shared goals, interests, challenges, or simply the unique aspects of what it means to be a woman.
